October 10, 2024 at 10 a.m.: Working With Your Elected Officials

For October, Visit NC has invited Brian Lewis from New Frame Inc and NCTIA to talk about some best practices for reaching out to and working with your local elected officials. An update will also be given about Visit NC's marketing efforts related to the impacts the state is facing in the aftermath of Hurrican Helene.

November 14 & 21, 2024 at 10 a.m.: Getting Organized with OneNote

For November, Visit NC will be hosting a special 2-part session on OneNote, led by Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Instructor Laura Cone. Participants will learn how to create digital notebooks that unify handwritten notes, drawings, file attachments, and even video/audio. Participants will structure notebooks into sections and pages that can be easily searched and tagged. OneNote is great for documentation of projects and is necessary for busy people who need to stay organized! (Note: This is a 2-part webinar, with each part lasting 2 hours.)

September 12, 2024: Mindfullness and Meditation Practices for Work and Beyond

For September, Visit NC hosted a special session on mindfulness and meditation to help partners learn ways to better focus on the present moment, to fully experience thoughts and emotions without judgment. Led by a trained instructor from WakeMed's Corporate Wellness Program, the tips and techniques discussed in this session will be helpful for reducing stress and enhancing participants’ overall sense of well-being as they move forward.
