Registration now open for 2025 Visit NC Tourism Conference
Registration is now open for the 2025 Visit NC Tourism Conference, April 6-8 (Sunday-Tuesday) in Hickory.
The program features several events, including the session “Where do we go from here?” from Tourism Economics. There are more breakout sessions as well, covering topics such as rural tourism and hotel development; building effective relationships with legislators; reaching BIPOC travelers; mastering crisis communications planning; destination stewardship; organic and paid media; tourism research and sourcing the truest data; lodging trends and more.

Visit NC PR team, partners pitch at Visit NC’s mini-media mission in Chicago Visit NC’s Veda Gilbert and four destination partners traveled to Chicago, last week for a two-day mini-media mission. During meals and drinks, ten media representatives from local, regional and national outlets heard pitches from Jackson County TDA’s Kara Addy, NC's Brunswick Islands representative Emily Nalwasky, Visit Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitor Bureau's Patty Griffin, and Visit Raleigh's Dana Canby-Goodwin. The Visit NC PR team, including Anna Rossetto from DCI, and the partners will follow up with journalists to maximize connections from the event. Visit NC at Statesville Tourism Summit
Last week, Visit NC’s Amanda Baker and Ashton English attended the Statesville Tourism Summit. This annual event featured insightful presentations, networking opportunities and inspiring moments. During the summit, Baker discussed the Outdoor NC program, sharing Statesville's involvement in the statewide movement and the next steps towards obtaining the Trail Town Designation.
Visit NC’s November two-part webinar starts this morning: Getting Organized with OneNote
For its November webinar, Visit NC is hosting a special two-part session on OneNote, led by Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Instructor Laura Cone. Participants will learn how to create digital notebooks that unify handwritten notes, drawings, file attachments, and even video/audio. Participants will structure notebooks into sections and pages that can be easily searched and tagged. OneNote is great for documentation of projects and is necessary for busy people who need to stay organized! The first part of the webinar is at 10 a.m. this morning.
