Visit NC PR team pitch generates coverage for Crystal Coast, Asheville
Reader's Digest featured Asheville and the Crystal Coast in its digital roundup “Quick and Affordable Weekend Getaways to Escape Without Breaking the Bank
” as a result of reactive pitching from the Visit NC PR team. The Crystal Coast entry highlighted Beaufort with its pirate lore, the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and free fun on the beach. The Asheville section drew on the city’s culinary scene, “free-spirited hippie culture,” Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Parkway’s natural wealth. RD.com attracts 8.4 million unique monthly visitors.
Cucalorus, Full Frame among '50 film festivals worth the entry fee'
Cucalorus Film Festival in Wilmington and Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham are among MovieMaker's international list of "50 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee in 2024." Cucalorus is about getting together to share a love of films, especially fun, daring, and sometimes esoteric films.” Of Full Frame, the article noted, in part,” With an emphasis on immersion and making connections, Full Frame is known as a gateway to awards and other festivals – as well as distributors. It has longstanding relationships with major players like Showtime, ESPN, National Geographic, Netflix, and A&E.”
